This state-of-the-art training facility in Enid, Oklahoma, allows law enforcement agencies across Northwest Oklahoma to engage in realistic training scenarios in order to practice skills such as communication, de-escalation and marksmanship.

In addition to installing an energy efficient HVAC system with individually controlled settings for each room, Integrated Consulting Engineers helped provide electrical system guidance for the training center’s unique equipment.

The VirTra training simulator is a 300-degree interactive screen that offers 300 different scenarios for officers to work through. In a room painted completely black with floor level lights for safety, there are five large screens surrounding the officer with a nearly 360-degree experience. Depending on the officer’s statements and actions, the instructor can select different options which result in different outcomes. IT and electrical needs for this program are robust, and require a lot of coordination.

The training center also has a 50-person training classroom with a sink and a coffee bar area, as well as a virtual shooting simulation system, which allows for discharge of a weapon in a safe, controlled environment.
